FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about commissions, collections, materials and my artistic practice

Commissions & Bespoke

Do you accept commissions? +
Yes, I welcome commission enquiries for both private collections and architectural projects. I approach each commission individually, with attention to the space, the materials and your vision. Use the contact form to discuss your project; I will reply within 2–3 working days to arrange an introductory meeting.
What is the typical lead time for a commissioned work? +
Timing varies depending on the scale and complexity of the work. Smaller pieces typically take 6–8 weeks, while larger installations may require 3–6 months. This includes design consultation, material selection, the making process and – where needed – final installation. During our first conversation I will provide a clear timeline.
How does the commission process work? +
We begin with an introductory meeting in which we discuss your vision, the space and your preferences. I then prepare initial sketches and material samples for review. Once approved, I begin the making process and you will receive regular updates. Finally, we agree delivery or installation. A deposit is required to begin; the final payment is due on completion.
Can you work within specific colour palettes or design requirements? +
Certainly. I enjoy collaborating with commissioners to create works that complement an existing space or design vision. During our consultation we discuss colour preferences, material choices and any architectural or design constraints. If desired, I can provide samples and colour/material studies so the final result meets your expectations.

Purchase & Collections

Are the artworks on this website for sale? +
Selected works are available for purchase directly through my studio. Some pieces on this website form part of private or corporate collections and are shown as portfolio work only. For enquiries about a specific work or pricing, please contact me via the contact page.
Do you offer payment plans? +
Yes. I understand that collecting art is an investment. For works above a certain value I can arrange a flexible payment plan to make purchase more accessible. Terms are discussed on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to get in touch to explore the options.
Do you provide a certificate of authenticity? +
Yes. Each work is supplied with a signed certificate of authenticity detailing the work, the materials used, the date of creation and my signature. This documentation is important for insurance and provenance.
Can I view works in person before purchasing? +
Certainly. Studio visits are welcome by appointment: you can view available works and discuss your interest. It is also an opportunity to see the making process and works in progress. Please contact me at least one week in advance to arrange a visit.

Shipping & Logistics

Do you ship internationally? +
Yes, I ship artworks worldwide. Each piece is carefully packed for safe transport, with particular attention to delicate textile and glass works. Shipping costs and any import/customs charges depend on the destination and are calculated based on the delivery address. For large installations I can arrange specialist art transport.
How are artworks packaged for shipping? +
I take great care with packaging to ensure everything arrives safely. Textile works are wrapped in acid-free paper, supported with archival board and – where necessary – protected in bespoke wooden crates. Glass works receive specialist shock-absorbing packaging. All shipments are fully insured during transit.
Do you offer an installation service? +
For large works or complex installations I can provide or arrange professional installation. This is particularly relevant for architectural commissions or works with specific mounting requirements. Installation costs are quoted separately based on location and complexity.
What is your returns policy? +
While I strive for complete satisfaction, it may happen that a work does not suit your space after all. Returns are possible within 14 days of delivery for works purchased directly through my studio, provided the work is in its original condition. Please contact me in advance to discuss any concerns before initiating a return.

Materials & Process

What materials do you work with? +
My practice centres on natural and sustainable materials such as sisal, silk, wool, linen, hand-made paper and glass. I select materials carefully and prefer sustainably and ethically produced fibres. I choose each material for its tactile and visual qualities; I often combine traditional techniques such as hand weaving with contemporary approaches to material processing.
How do I care for textile artworks? +
Ideally place textile works out of direct sunlight to avoid fading. Regular gentle dusting with a soft brush is recommended. Avoid handling with bare hands: skin oils can affect natural fibres over time. For more thorough cleaning, please contact me for advice tailored to the materials used.
Are your works suitable for spaces with high humidity? +
Artworks with natural fibres are best suited to an indoor environment with a stable climate. They tolerate normal fluctuations in domestic conditions, but are best kept away from persistently high humidity or direct moisture. If you have specific environmental requirements or a particular location in mind, please get in touch to discuss material options.
Do you work with sustainable and ethically sourced materials? +
Sustainability is a core value in my practice. I prioritise natural, biodegradable materials and work with suppliers who share my commitment to ethical production. This may include the use of organic fibres, natural dyes and supporting artisan communities. I am happy to provide more detail on the provenance of materials for a specific work.

Studio & Exhibitions

Can I visit your studio? +
Studio visits are welcome, by appointment only. This allows me to welcome you with my full attention and discuss your interests in depth. The studio in Aartrijke, Belgium is also a wonderful opportunity to see works in progress and discuss potential commissions in person. Please contact me at least one week in advance to arrange a visit.
Do you offer workshops or classes? +
From time to time I lead specialist workshops on traditional textile techniques, natural dyeing and material exploration. These usually take place in museums, design schools or cultural institutions. I share announcements via my mailing list and social media. If you would like to organise a workshop, please get in touch.
Where can I see your work in person? +
My work is shown at selected galleries and forms part of various public and private collections across Europe. Upcoming exhibitions can be found on the news page. For the most current schedule or enquiries about gallery representation, please contact me directly.
Are you available for artist talks or lectures? +
Yes. I am available for artist talks, panel discussions and lectures on my practice, materials and the intersection of traditional craft and contemporary art. I have previously spoken at museums, universities and design conferences. Contact me with details about your event; I would be glad to explore the possibilities.
